This 460-acre park is located between the cities of Colorado Springs and Fountain. It features a creek-side trail, Willow Springs Pond, Hanson Nature Park and the Fountain Creek Nature Center. The Willow Springs Pond is stocked daily and fishing is allowed. There are lots of things for families to do at this park including basketball, volleyball, mountain biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and there is even a playground for kids.

North Cheyenne Canon Park


This park is perfect for those looking for adventure. There are many biking, hiking and horseback riding trails located in the heart of North Cheyenne Canon’s beautiful forest and are perfect for all ages. If you are looking for a bit more adventure, there are several different areas where you can go climbing. While on the trails, keep your eye out for the many different wildlife that are known to be in the area including hummingbirds, deer and fox squirrels. However, keep an extra eye out for black beers and mountain lions, as they are known to frequent this state park. Cheyenne Mountain State Park

The park also offers environmental education programs such as guided wildflower walks, family mystery hikes, animal education, geocaching, junior ranger programs, weekly yoga and more.
